About Me

Hi, I'm Alin - a self-taught Python engineer who went from warehouse worker to web development team lead in 9 years at the same company.

My path to development wasn't traditional. I started at Lola's Cupcakes in 2015 working in the warehouse, then as a baker, delivery driver, and events coordinator. When the company needed photo retouching, I taught myself. Same with photography. Same with 3D store design. When I saw how much manual work could be automated, I learned Python, then HTML and CSS. Today I lead the web development team, building systems that process thousands of orders daily.

This journey taught me something valuable: the best developers don't just write code - they understand the business problems code should solve. Having worked in nearly every part of the company, I build systems that actually help real people doing real work. I know what it's like to manually process orders, schedule deliveries, and handle production chaos. That's why the automation systems I build save teams 15+ hours per week and reduce errors by 90%.

I specialize in Python, Django, HTMX, and AWS infrastructure, with deep experience in Shopify integration, production scheduling, and cloud-based printing systems. What drives me is seeing teams work faster and more confidently because of the systems I've built.
